2020

Founded in Lagos, Nigeria

LeapCommerce is founded by a team of e-commerce veterans and ML engineers frustrated by the lack of affordable AI tools for growing merchants in emerging markets.

2021

First 100 Merchants & Seed Round

Secured $3.2M in seed funding, onboarded our first 100 paying merchants, and launched the AI Recommendation Engine in beta — achieving a 2.8× average conversion uplift.

2022

Series A & Smart Pricing Launch

Raised $14M in Series A funding. Launched Dynamic Pricing Optimization and expanded integrations to Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento.

2023

10,000 Merchants & Global Expansion

Surpassed 10,000 active merchants across 42 countries. Launched Marketing Automation and Customer Analytics modules. Opened offices in London and Singapore.

2024

Series B & Platform Evolution

Raised $48M Series B to accelerate ML research and enterprise features. Launched the LeapCommerce API and launched our developer ecosystem with 200+ third-party integrations.
